Superfine Art Fair is returning to DC following a Covid-induced hiatus, with nearly 100 artists taking over 15,000 square ft. Taking place April 7 - 10th, the third Superfine DC will include partnerships with local institutions and influencers such as the DMV League of Artists and Oxford Properties, which helped curate local artists and secure a Gallery Place Venue in the heart of the city (713 7th St NW).

“Superfine isn’t a traditional art fair. Founded on the principles of inclusivity and bringing art to communities often unwelcome or marginalized in the art world, the fairs are themed to be inclusive and fun for everyone.”

Forgoing the usual stuffiness found at most fairs, Superfine founders Alex Mitow & James Miille set out to change people's perception of the art world. “When we looked at the industry as gay men in our 20s and 30s, we felt excluded. We built Superfine to be an inclusive space, where people who love art can collect it without barriers,” says Mitow, who hints their “plans to up the ante over previous years will expand Superfine’s reach, and help welcome a new generation of art collectors into its fold.”

Superfine has generated $10 million in sales, primarily on behalf of independent artists, at annual fairs from LA to NY since launching at Art Basel in 2015. If you're an artist interested in participating in a future fair, you can find further information about exhibiting with Superfine on their website.
