OUR MISSION

Create! Magazine is a platform for artists and art-lovers alike that empowers you to lead your most creative, bold, and authentic life. We are a welcoming community that loves to feature diverse artists, curators, industry leaders, and collectors, in an effort to unite and connect creatives from across the globe so that we can all experience success and support.

Furthermore, we always celebrate each other’s wins and seek to help others achieve their art career goals by offering opportunities directly catered to our audience.

Through our print and blog articles, podcast episodes, an online gallery, courses, in-person events, and vibrant online community, you'll feel inspired to keep going after your biggest dreams by watching and learning from experts and other emerging artists in the field.

WHO WE ARE

Create! Magazine is an independent, hardworking team of artists, creatives, writers, and visionaries with a big heart and a deep love for our art community. When we were starting out making our way in the art world, we faced a lot of adversity and had a hard time accessing the tools and resources we needed to grow our careers.

Create! Magazine was initially founded with the intention of making a space where artists could easily find what we didn’t have back then, but has now grown to offer so much more.

Every single contributor to this platform is driven by an innate desire to make the world a better place for creatives and to see them succeed in their own way. To that end, we aim to be inclusive and supportive of our audience and readers no matter their background or career level.

At Create!, we hope to inspire, educate, coach, and show others to realize that an abundant and joyful life as an artist is possible. We showcase exemplary artists from within our community, share career and studio advice from artists and coaches, and partner with top brands to broaden your horizons of what artists are truly capable of manifesting.

SAFe sPACE

This space, which includes our website, member area, and social media channels, is aligned with our mission, and is designed to be a safe and inclusive space for respectful and civilized conversation that honors each of our members.

We ask that you please help us continue creating spaces with kind and constructive conversations, even if you do not agree on a topic or statement. If something is not in alignment with you, kindly move on to something else that inspires you instead.

The online spaces we host are moderated by Create! Magazine staff members who believe in the importance of respectfully supporting each and every one of your journeys.

Please note that if you do not see your post or comment on our feed, it may have been found to not be in alignment with our guidelines and rules. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the regulations and guidelines that follow to help us keep the community safe and supportive for all who participate in this group.

COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

All posts and comments are subject to the approval of the admin team. Before posting on our website or social media, please ensure they align with the below guidelines:

-Please step into this community with a willingness to connect and support one another. Before you post, please check in with yourself and see if your comment or message is kind, constructive, helpful, or inspiring. Please refrain from submitting posts or comments with harsh language, complaints, or negativity. If you have a legitimate concern, please email our team at info@createmagazine.com.

-Please refrain from participating in gossip or triangulation. In this community, we hold space for each other, see the best in each other, and put our most authentic selves forward at all times. Please avoid spreading negative rumors or judgment about community members. If you feel unsafe, please notify our team of your concern.

-Please refrain from any type of hate speech or bullying. We believe in the power of restorative justice through community dialogue. Immediate removal from social media or our online membership will result from commentary or posts that contribute to racism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, fatphobia, or ableism. You are welcome to reach out to admins if you have any questions and/or concerns. If you leave harmful comments of this sort on our Instagram profile, your account may be blocked or restricted.

-Please report any abusive content directly to our team at info@createmagazine.com to facilitate the content's removal, rather than engaging with the group member or commenting on social media.

-Please be polite and courteous in all communications with all members and staff. Advice, constructive criticism, and healthy disagreements may arise, but please refrain from personal attacks, hurtful comments, or harassing members no matter the situation. If you submitted to an open call, for example, and your work was not chosen, please refrain from saying hurtful things to our hardworking staff or curators who support hundreds of artists and go through thousands of submissions each year.

-We are here for you, and it's important that you advocate for yourself. Your success and joy are in our best interest, and we look forward to sharing your beautiful art, work, and success with our audience.

-If you are sharing content from our website or social media, please credit the original source which may include any artists, photographers and writers. We do not own the copyright to any artwork so in order to do right by the creator(s), we highly encourage you to always do your due diligence and give proper credit where it is due. The creators will appreciate it. Otherwise, we cannot be held liable for any disagreements that may arise for improper reposting or sharing.

-If you are submitting your art to an open call or other opportunity, please know that your work is not guaranteed to get selected. We invite diverse curators from all backgrounds to ensure we are representing a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and career levels in each issue, exhibition, or other opportunity. Because inclusion is not guaranteed, it can be disappointing to get the notification or juror's results. Please be kind to both the juror, the selected artists, and the team, and refrain from speaking negatively. Please review all opportunities thoroughly and with care before submitting your work. We welcome you to participate, but please make sure you are fully aware of the process and read the FAQ and prospectus page before submitting.

Thank you for your support and cooperation as Create! Magazine works to create safe and nurturing spaces for artists. Please note that breaking these guidelines once will result in a warning from our team, and breaking these guidelines twice may result in removal from our group, membership, or social media. Infringements will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
