Artist Statement
My paintings feature many houses and architecture. I like to draw them because they contain the stories of people living there. I also look for scenes in which I can express a comforting nature that is not too far away from us. This is the sort of nature that we tend to pass by without noticing in our busy lives. Once we pay attention to it, we realize its beauty. By drawing landscape paintings, I learn to appreciate where I live. We can find the comfort of nature everywhere, so it is a great gift to be able to see it with your eyes. As a landscape painter, I try to introduce to people how to see from a different perspective.
The natural but surreal colors of my paintings can also be linked to dreams and hopes. When the sky turns to that beautiful shade of pink, I feel like I can achieve my dreams. I hope others will see my paintings and receive the warm comfort that nature offers.
