What is one thing you’d like our readers to know about you?

Before art, I used to study aviation, but it didn’t represent me. Therefore, art has become my freedom tool. I see myself as a person who is pursuing the liberation of his natural ideals, thoughts, attitudes, behaviors, etc. In other words, I'm trying to understand who I am and what I respond to beyond my Dominican culture, art schools, preconceptions, etc. I think we should all find a way to feel secure in our inner space. Hopefully, when people see my work, they feel empowered to create their own genuine stories.

What is your biggest source of inspiration?

Childhood! “The good old days.” I'm always trying to embrace and give life to that weird little kid who is usually forgotten as we become adults. Also, music inspires me a lot; songs are like mini audiobooks with millions of emotions and possibilities.

Why do you create and how has your art practice affected your life?

I create to discover myself in more depth; to face my worries about aging, beauty patterns, how I act in public, my anxieties, etc. The more I create, the more I fight against my own stereotypes and perceptions. In addition, my work aims to celebrate and inspire our identity as unique individual beings. On the other hand, my life and art are interchangeable since art is my way to deal with my daily experiences and feelings in the real world.
