Statement
MK Bailey creates narrative, figure-based paintings and experimental landscapes that reflect her experience of the world. She uses oil, acrylic, and digital mediums to explore themes of loneliness, nostalgia, and the tension between dream and reality. Her most recent paintings are inspired by her immediate surroundings over the last eight months. The compositions are filled with the layered silhouettes of the detritus, structures, and overgrowth that are ever present yet often overlooked.
