I want the viewer to experience the feeling I have when I wake from a dream. The feeling of being pulled into a mysterious world, created by the fusion of an unconscious and conscious act, creating an unexpected beauty that is beyond real life.

Maya Kolega graduated in a Bachelor of Visual Arts specialising in photography in 2011 from the University of South Australia. Since she has showed at a number of group and solo exhibitions in Australia and also recently in Europe.Maya is interested in traditional photographic processes and works exclusively with film. Maya works to find beauty in parts of everyday life we often overlook, she also uses photography as a tool of communication.
