Bio:
LA-based painter Koko Alexander finds inspiration from the unique terrain, architecture, and people that surround him every day. Originally from Texas, he graduated from University of Texas at Dallas with a bachelor’s degree in Arts & Technology in 2014, and moved to Los Angeles shortly after.
Alexander is known for using severe light and shadows, paired with saturated colors and heavy brush strokes to explore the complex emotions that lurk behind his subjects. His recent works explore the stillness and isolation that is undeniably buried underneath the paradisiacal imagery of life in California.
