Philadelphia, PA - July, 2023 - Create! Magazine and PxP Contemporary are thrilled to announce the opening of an in-person group exhibition on July 7, 2023, at the Paradigm Arts Building.
Philadelphia's historic Old City neighborhood will come alive with the vibrant and intense works of a curated selection of artists. This highly anticipated exhibition promises to captivate art enthusiasts and the general public alike.
Curated by Alicia Puig, CEO of PxP Contemporary and Director of Create! Magazine, along with Ekaterina Popova, Founder of Create! Titled "Chroma," the exhibition invites artists and viewers to explore the rich and diverse interpretations that color inspires.
"We are thrilled to present this dynamic exhibition that celebrates the use of color as a catalyst for expression," said Alicia Puig, co-curator of the exhibition. "The new Paradigm Arts Building in Old City provides the perfect backdrop for these vibrant works, and we invite art lovers from all walks of life to join us in this celebration of creativity."
The exhibition will be open to the public for three weeks, allowing ample opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the vivid and thought-provoking artworks on display. About:
Established by Sara McCorriston and Jason Chen in 2023, the Paradigm Arts Building is a multi-use space for making, collecting, and experiencing art all under one roof. Honoring the building’s original function as a wallpaper factory and showroom, Paradigm is reimagining its role within the rich history of art and design in Old City, and at the heart of the district’s burgeoning contemporary art scene.
The Paradigm Arts Building boasts 7000 sq. ft. of commercial space across 5 stories, serving as the permanent home of Paradigm Gallery + Studio, and the platform for McCorriston and Chen’s expanded vision of an art center for the Philadelphia community. The first two floors of gallery space are complemented by a flexible third floor for pop-up exhibitions, events, workshops, and programs, as well as by fellow small businesses like Butterfield Editions on the fourth floor, and BYO Print Studio on the fifth floor.
The new venture is aligned with Paradigm’s founding mission of increasing access to the commercial art world, supporting artists and advancing their careers, and collaborating with like-minded partners to build a more equitable, sustainable arts economy for all.
