About TJ Walsh
“I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Psychotherapist, Educator, Painter, and Curator. Prior to receiving my M.A. in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Eastern University in Saint Davids, PA, I received my BFA in Graphic Design from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. For a decade I worked in the field of marketing, brand management and design for non-profit organizations in New York City and Philadelphia. Following that time, I spent another five years in Higher Education Administration as both a development officer and as a student affairs officer.
I have extensive experience working with young adults (individuals and couples) and university students. I have particular experience working with professional artists, performers and other creatives. I also have expertise working with high profile/VIP individuals and go to great lengths to mitigate any exposure.
I usually work with young couples who are struggling to connect with one another and individuals who find themselves stuck in place.
Originally trained psychodynamically, I have since obtained or am working toward certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy, as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My primary focus is to build a strong, therapeutic alliance and to instill hope in you so that you may live a life worth living.”
