Courtney Griffin is a self-taught emerging fine artist, living and working in Denver, Colorado. She first explored illustration in late 2018 in an effort to understand the workings of her active, imaginative mind. She picked up a paintbrush for the first time in late 2019 when she was commissioned for her first mural. Her largest work to date is a 600-square foot mural in the heart of the RiNo Art District in Denver, CO.
She began exploring abstract painting to cope with the isolation of the pandemic in 2020, and she is currently building a body of work that finds a balance between the subjective and non-subjective. She seeks beauty in the evolving cycles both within nature and within the female body, and simple moments, like the awakening of a blooming flower and a cleansing breath. Courtney holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and minors in Human Sexuality and Psychology, and she is a trained yoga teacher and an advocate for mental health.
