Bethany lives on a small homestead outside of Seattle, Washington with her husband, two daughters, and a hoard of chickens.

An artist who combines the art of quilting with woodworking, resulting in creations that push the boundaries of traditional artistic disciplines.

With an inherent passion for craftsmanship and a profound appreciation for the interplay of textures and materials, Bethany's work embodies a harmonious blend of two distinct art forms creating pieces that are both visually striking and deeply meaningful.

When did you realize you wanted to pursue art professionally?

It has always been in the back of my mind. I've known for years that I'm not ever truly happy or feeling quite like myself unless I have something I'm working on outside of my everyday life and stress. When I started creating these pieces, I just felt like they were something I wanted to share with the world, I guess I was feeling brave.

Whether fellow artist or friend, who has continued to inspire your work?

My husband, he has always been my biggest cheerleader and supporter. He has always told me that I can do whatever I want, and his unfailing faith in me keeps me going. Through the times when I felt like it just wasn't good enough, or I couldn't do it, he has been there. It sounds cliche, but I truly wouldn't have created any of this without him there to silence my rather vocal self-doubt.

What do you enjoy exploring through your art?

New ideas! I love the combination of textiles and wood. It's not something I have seen before, and it feels so unexplored. I have so many sketches all ready with new designs that I am anxiously waiting to get to. The possibilities are endless, and it keeps me excited!

Looking back, what advice do you wish you could give your younger self?

Just keep going. Keep trying new things. Keep pushing, practicing, and experimenting. You will find something that feels like "you".

What is one thing you hope your audience walks away with after experiencing/viewing your work?

I would love it if people felt inspired to try something new after seeing my art. To push the boundaries and the envelope on what we consider traditional art. You never know what you will come up with.
