Beau Bernier Frank is a California native with roots wrapping all around the earth. He’s lived in Spain, gone to school in France, has relatives in Cambodia, and shows in Australia, but calls Pacific Grove home. Perhaps it is this wide-ranging biography which endows his oil paintings with a fresh view of the Central Coast, something not easily done. Frank is a French-American, self-taught surrealist painter who creates intricately detailed landscapes and figurative works.
In this episode, Alicia Puig interviews Frank about his progression as an artist, tips for showing up on social media, and the preparation for his solo show at Gallery Mar.
