Statement

My artistic journey has transformed my life in many ways. Beginning with my very first body of work, “Inner, Outer Worlds,” I watched as my art, life, and spirituality progressively merged to match my evolving consciousness. Certain connotations relating to Eastern and Western mysticism, as well as the esoteric side of nature in my work, explores how humans are symbolic reflections of the astral realm. This curation of thought grants me access to portray my transformation to my viewers intimately and viscerally, encouraging their spiritual journey.

Each of my projects has a unique and thorough phase of preparation. In the beginning, I use numerous divinatory tools such as tarot, numerology, and astrology to guide my intention. My goal is to create art that benefits my spiritual development as well as fosters inspiration in others. In this regard, it is a kind of spiritual art therapy.

I was specifically drawn to this open call as this paintings with which i'm applying all depict these inner spaces I've painted that are all a different step in in my inner spiritual journey. One in particular called "Path of recovery" is an actual sanctuary I go to in meditation to communicate with spirits and rest my mind. It is a very magical place and many synchronicities have happened with this painting like strangers meeting me and telling me they dreamed of that space depicted in the painting before even seeing it. The painting called "The Sanctuary" is the first one painted in this series and show me discovering this inner space for the first time. As you can see, the architecture (ego) seems quite isolated and not well maintained. It was thus the beginning of my journey.
