Artist Biography:

Oluwaseyi Mbu-Ogar (B. 1999, Lagos, Nigeria) is a self-taught mixed media artist based in Nigeria. Seyi Ogar as he prefers to be called, graduated from Babcock University with a BSc. in Computer Science. He expresses himself using graphite and charcoal pencils, and in recent times, acrylic paints on paper. From a very young age, Seyi has always been passionate about and fascinated by art and creativity, but he didn’t see it as a skill he possessed or a career path for himself at the time. His deeper interests began in his early years of University, where he found his unending love for creating and began to develop his craft with no formal training. Inspired by his experiences, environment, and imagination, Seyi began creating works that express but are not limited to individuality, Identity, and originality in a unique style through portraiture and colors. He aims to continuously evolve in his craft while exploring more concepts of human representation.
