We’re excited to share the work of artist Erinn Frayer. After growing up in Maplewood, New Jersey, she started painting as a freshman in college at Loyola University in Maryland. She graduated with a BFA and then went on to earn her MFA from Montclair State University in New Jersey. Erinn has worked as a fashion designer, art teacher, sign painter, restoration painter, and framer. After a nine year break from painting, she has recently started painting again. Erinn often paints at night, well into the night, because she finds it hard to stop once she starts.

“I’ve been humbled by my middle age years. I know less than I thought I would but I know more than I used to. Quiet lulls have led to unrestricted thoughts. Looking inward has revitalized a need to create. Desired positivity has ignited potential to go beyond the boundaries that once held me back. I am the next composition. I accept that I have not been fully awake until now. I embrace my evolution as I continually mature into the new me. I desire to make more connections and understand other points of view. I intend to explore potential in myself and others. I have gratitude for my life’s experiences but I realize that I have so much growth and development ahead of me.”
