Earlier this fall, the company expanded its services to include the ‘Domingo Featured Artists’ program across its digital platforms and media. Showcasing works to purchase from up-and-coming local New York, Latin American, and Latinx contemporary artists; the ‘Domingo Featured Artists’ program launched with a series of serigraph and acrylic-based works conveying topical, powerful political statements.

Curated by Domingo Comms founder, the initial roster of artists include Big Sur--originally from Argentina now based in Bogotá, Colombia--Latinx New York-based Francisco Donoso, Brooklyn’s Ellie d'Eustachio, and Uruguayan designer Carito Faget. These artists share a commonality in that their works make political statements, clearly yet colorfully, and perfectly sized and priced to add to home collections. “Domingo’s mission with the ‘Featured Artists’ program is to bring impactful, timely, and meaningful messages into people’s homes in a way that will spark conversations but will also complement their interior design, through the beautiful typography and artistry of the work,” says Petty.

Domingo Featured Artists will highlight artists such as Carito Faget, whose work will be available for the first time in the United States, and includes a universal call to action in her serigraph print ‘We Should All be Feminists’. Bronx-based artist Francisco Donoso joins Domingo Featured Artists with his piece “Multitude of Escape Routes" from the 'Trespassers Series'. A recipient of DACA and a fierce advocate for immigrant rights, he creates mixed-media paintings, collages, and installations to explore the often unarticulated yet deeply felt complexities of the immigrant journey. Big Sur is a Latin American contemporary art project that produces printed works of art (serigraph, letterpress, risograph) in limited editions. Their featured artwork ‘El Cielo Como Bandera’ asks viewers to question nationalist ideology, a reference to Manuel Belgrano’s inspiration for the Argentinian flag. Brooklyn local Ellie d’Eustachio’s protest knit art series ‘Eat the Monsters’ has garnered widespread attention, hanging on scaffolding around New York featuring fun, colorful creatures having the President for lunch.

Petty founded Domingo Comms to help others rediscover their love of home through meaningful and affordable art and interior design. “My hope is to continue to expand the program by promoting living artists striving to make change through their art. The idea is to help young art buyers seeking to build their collections with affordable pieces reflecting this important moment in history.”

Since the 'Featured' launch, Domingo has added two new artists to its roster. María Durán Sampedro, an interdisciplinary artist born in Bogotá, Colombia who now resides in Brooklyn, whose work examines the effects of lost innocence and memories in the face of body trauma. Paola Acebedo is a Colombian Visual Artist born in 1987, living in Bogotá, Colombia. Her 'Featured' work focuses on tackling notions of sexism and victim-blaming.
